Little Drummer Girl

One of the things we hope Lindy will take an interest in is music. Both Don and I love music and we'd love for that to be a part of Lindy's life, too.
Lindy has shown an interest in the piano but last week she got a taste of a new instrument--THE DRUMS. At first she really wasn't sure about them. "Noisy" she said. But it didn't take long before she wanted to have a try. I kid you not, but there was one time where she banged the sticks together three times like good drummers often do before the music starts.
Here are some pictures of our little drummer girl getting her first drum lesson from her special friend Cliff.

I love it! I hope she likes music too. Maybe she, Cliff, and Mark A. can start a drummer band.... ;)

one word for you: earplugs

how about the flute? it's nice and quiet...those are precious pics, and musically speaking, following in the footsteps of karen carpenter would be pretty cool...or laine from gilmore girls :)

Way too cute. There are way too few girl drummers in the world!

Does Cliff play the drums? I had no idea. Beck loves the drums too. Sometimes on Sat. we go to Sam Ash or Guitar Center...I get them all confused and they have a set perfectly sized for a toddler or pre-schooler. They can bang around all they want, and they look so darn cute! The future Mac Church band...right there in the 2 year old class.

I went (sat) through every drum lesson with my step-son and he is a great drummer now! I hope Alyzabeth will love music too. Maybe not the drums again.......
