Say yeah!
This really may be one of those "you had to be there" moments but I'll relay it anyway since this is kind of Lindy's "baby book."
On Tuesday morning we were on our way to Ladies Bible Class. I had some extra time and some money left on a Starbucks gift card, so I decided to hit the drive thru for my non-fat, no-whip mocha...I was rockin' out to a song (ghastly image to picture, I know) and one of the lines was "Say yeah" and I sang that pretty emphatically.
Very quietly from the back seat I hear, "I don't want to say yeah."
Thankfully, I wasn't drinking my mocha yet or I might have spewed it all over the dashboard because I was laughing so hard...
Okay, you can tell me that it really isn't that funny. It won't hurt my feelings. Really. Oh, by the way, if you are the first to guess what song I was "singing," I'll send you a $5.00 Starbucks card.
Say yeah!

First of all, I think it's HILARIOUS!!! Sometimes, I will be singing in the car & from the backseat Mya will ask, "Mom, are you talking to ME?" lol!!
Let's see - Say Yeah? How 'bout T-Bone's "Throw Ya Handz Up"?
:)
I'm stumped! Can't think of a song with Say Yeah in it. I'll wait for the answer...
Unfortunately, I was drinking water whilst reading this and am now the proud owner of some dribble. I can just picture the scene -- and it's funny in my mind!
I have no idea what song it is but will guess "What I Like About You."
Hugs!
I too laughed both at the post and the picture in my head of you singing out loud (as I often do) only to be stopped by the not necessarily happy child in the back seat with the grumpy voice saying she didn't want to hear the say yeah song- bahaha- I'm thinking some sort of 80's song but I can't pull it to the front of my brain.
Was it Kiss?
Okay peeps... No one has gotten it yet. Kayren is warmest with era. Don is close with genre...
I just jumped out of bed to make my guess because i have been thinking about it all afternoon, but now with your hint I am most likely wrong. My guess was going to be Shania Twain's "Any Man of Mine." Hmm...I will keep wracking my brain now...
Jaime~
Not Shania but her tunes are very singable! I'm thinking Ben might be able to get it...
Bon Jovi, "I Love this Town"
Sara~
Keep trying, my friend. Not Bon Jovi but similar genre; however, lead singer is no where as cute as JBJ. You were probably just around Mya's age when it was popular, so you might not know it.
I may start giving BIG hints soon.
xoxo~

Def Leopard, "Rock of Ages"
Def Leopard was "born" the same year I was, 1977.
Hey Sara~~~
YES! You got it!!! Wow! I applaud you for your determination and I'll completely ignore that you're such a youngster! :-)
Do you even like Starbucks???
I already had a package to send your way (and blew off the post office today). Now you'll get two and who knows maybe three after my RAK giveaway ends...
Rock on and say yeah!
Love you friend~
Lisa
Yeah!! or should I say,
Say Yeah :)
Well, what can I say?? I couldn't stop thinking about it - to the point I was ready to look up radio stations in your area!! lol!!
Please, don't send me anything! I didn't persevere so I could win the gift card! I just had to know (and now I am totally rockin' out myself!)
What a smile you've brought to my face this morning!
Love ya!
Sara
p.s. You didn't just SAY I got it right so I'd stop guessing did you?!?! Speaking of RAK :)
That is so funny!! She is such a little cutie! Love your previous post with her at the piano -- melt your heart sweetness!
Janet
I think it was hilarious! Sometimes their humor is so dry and witty! I LOVE it!
This is really funny and cute too. As much as I love Starbucks, I can't think of the song.. Your daughter is very cute.
